Azerbaijan Travel Guidelines
Indian passport holders require a valid Azerbaijan e-Visa before travel. Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival. Carry printed and digital copies of your passport, visa, travel insurance, hotel vouchers, and return flight tickets. The local currency is the Azerbaijani Manat (AZN). ATMs and currency exchange counters are widely available. International debit and credit cards are accepted in most hotels, restaurants, and shopping malls. Azerbaijan follows Azerbaijan Standard Time (AZT), which is 1.5 hours behind Indian Standard Time (IST). English is commonly spoken in major tourist areas, while Azerbaijani is the official language. Day 1: Arrival in Baku – Welcome to Azerbaijan
Upon your arrival at Heydar Aliyev International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel on a private basis. After check-in and some relaxation, begin your introduction to the vibrant capital city of Baku. Visit Highland Park for breathtaking panoramic views of the Caspian Sea, Baku Boulevard, and the magnificent Flame Towers. Continue with a leisurely walk along the scenic Baku Boulevard, passing Little Venice, National Flag Square, and the Government House. The evening is free to explore the city's lively atmosphere or enjoy dinner at one of the waterfront restaurants. Overnight stay in Baku.
Day 2: Baku City Tour & Absheron Peninsula Tour
After breakfast, proceed on a full-day private sightseeing tour of Baku. Explore the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Old City (Icherisheher), where you'll visit the iconic Maiden Tower, Shirvanshah's Palace (outside view), ancient mosques, caravanserais, and charming cobblestone streets lined with traditional shops and cafés. Continue to Nizami Street and Fountain Square, the city's bustling shopping and entertainment hub.
Later, drive towards the Absheron Peninsula to visit the famous Ateshgah Fire Temple, an ancient place of worship for Zoroastrians, followed by Yanardag (Burning Mountain), where natural gas flames have been burning continuously for centuries. Return to your hotel in Baku for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Full-Day Gabala Excursion
After breakfast, enjoy a scenic private drive to Gabala, one of Azerbaijan's most beautiful mountain destinations nestled in the Greater Caucasus Mountains. Visit the tranquil Nohur Lake surrounded by lush forests and breathtaking scenery. Continue to the popular Tufandag Mountain Resort, where you can enjoy an optional cable car ride offering spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and mountain peaks. Day 4: Gobustan National Park & Mud Volcanoes Tour
Following breakfast, embark on a private excursion to Gobustan National Park, a UNESCO-listed archaeological reserve renowned for its prehistoric rock carvings dating back more than 40,000 years.
