Travel Guidelines for Sri Lanka

Ensure your passport is valid for at least 6 months from the date of arrival.

Indian passport holders should complete the applicable Sri Lanka visa and entry formalities before departure.

Carry printed and digital copies of your passport, visa approval, hotel vouchers, flight tickets, and travel insurance.

The local currency is the Sri Lankan Rupee (LKR). Currency exchange facilities are available at the airport and authorized exchange counters.

The Ramayana Circuit involves moderate walking, climbing steps, and uneven terrain at certain sites such as Ravana Cave and Sigiriya. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

Sri Lanka experiences varied weather conditions. Carry light cotton clothing for the plains and coastal areas, along with a light jacket for the hill country around Nuwara Eliya and Ella.

Carry sunscreen, sunglasses, insect repellent, a reusable water bottle, and a universal travel adapter (230V, Type D, G, and M sockets).
